Harrisburg University of Science and Technology’s Ph.D. program in Data Sciences ranks in the top 30 for 2022.
The online college guide, Best Value Schools, places the program at number 26 nationally. The guide notes that the ranked schools are renowned programs that provide students with a multidisciplinary education at the highest level to prepare them to be the leaders in this growing industry of research, big data management, data analysis, machine learning, statistical methodology, and much more. Harrisburg University provides a seamless path to earning a Ph.D. in Data Science. The first two years are technically the MS in Analytics, following this program students then begin their doctorate program. For students that have already completed an MS, they can apply to just the Ph.D. portion. At Harrisburg, students participate in two phases of the degree, a learning phase where they participate in seminars, coursework, research, and fieldwork. The second phase is the research phase where students focus on their personal research as part of their 12-credit hour dissertation.
